Terms & Conditions – Angling Christmas Raffle 2024

Angling Trust is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 30460

  1. Rules
    1. Tickets for this raffle will be on sale from Monday 14th October 2024 to Sunday 15th December 2024. The draw will take place on Tuesday 17th December 2024.
    2. A maximum of 235,000 offline and 20,000 online tickets will be available for this draw. In the event all 20,000 online tickets are sold prior to 15th December 2024, the online entry website will be closed early.
    3. By entering this raffle, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
    4. Entry to this raffle will be through members tickets, tickets available at shows and similar public and trade events, and by online entry accessed via the Angling Trust website at www.anglingraffle.net. Each ticket for this raffle will cost £2. Payment for entry may be by cash, debit card or cheque. Online entry is only by debit card. Individual members over 18 years of age will be sent a maximum of ten tickets for this raffle. Member clubs, fisheries, retail associates, consultatives & river associations, charter boat, federations and affiliate members will be sent a maximum of twenty-five tickets for this raffle. Additional tickets may be purchased. Online entry is limited to forty tickets in each transaction.
    5. Tickets may be purchased by anyone of 18 years of age or older, irrespective of whether they are a member of Angling Trust or not. No tickets to be sold to or by persons under the age of 18.
    6. Entrants may be required to provide a copy of their driving licence or passport if we have any doubt about their age. It is an offence for anyone under the age of 16 years to participate in a lottery. The Gambling Act 2005 places a statutory duty upon the Angling Trust to verify that participants are 16 years old or over. Any underage entrants found to be using a false date of birth will have their entry invalidated. Persistent attempts by underage persons to enter the raffle through the online system may result in their email address(es) being blocked by our servers.
    7. The prizes for this raffle will be as follows:
      • 1st Prize£2,000 RRP Daiwa tackle of the winner’s choice.
      • 2nd Prize£500 RRP Korda tackle of the winner’s choice.
      • 3rd Prize£350 RRP Preston Innovations Absolute Pole Roller – XL and Centris SD 420 Reel.

      • 5th Prize£270 RRP Korum Deluxe Tripod, 2x 3K Barbel Rods 2.25lb and Progress 35L Ruckbag.
      • 6th Prize£250 Orvis gift card.
      • 7th Prize£250 RRP Matrix tackle of the winner’s choice.

  1. The 1st prize is for items of Daiwa tackle valued at £2,000 RRP. These prizes are only available via the Angling Trust and not through any retailer or direct from Daiwa. The winner may select tackle items up to the value of their prize from the latest Daiwa catalogue. Orders for the tackle must be placed with Angling Trust within 6 months of the draw date. Angling Trust will arrange for these items to be sent direct to the winner. The value of the prize may be used on multiple items. Items that are supplied in trade packs will not be split, although trade packs may be available. All selections subject to approval and availability. The winner of this prize consent to have their name, address and contact details passed to Daiwa for the purposes of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternatives will be given.   2. The 2nd prize is for items of Korda tackle valued at £500 RRP. This prize is only available via the Angling Trust and not through any retailer or direct from Korda. The winner may select tackle items to the value of their prize from the latest Korda catalogue. The order for the tackle prize must be placed with Angling Trust within 6 months of the draw date. Angling Trust will arrange for these items to be sent direct to the winner. The value of the prize may not be used on multiple items. Items that are supplied in trade packs will not be split, although trade packs may be available. The winner of this prize consents to have their name, address and contact details passed to Korda for the purpose of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternative will be given.   3. The 3rd prize is for an Absolute Pole Roller – XL and Centris SD 420 Reel valued at £350 RRP from Preston Innovations. This prize will be supplied direct to the winner within 2 months of the draw date. The winner of this prize consents to have their name, address and contact details passed to Preston Innovations for the purpose of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternative will be given.   4. The 4th prize is for a £300 Angling Direct gift card. This card can be used either in-store or online at anglingdirect.co.uk
  5. The 5th prize is for a Deluxe Tripod, 2x 3K Barbel Rods 2.25lb and a Progress 35L Ruckbag valued at £270 RRP from Korum. This prize will be supplied direct to the winner within 2 months of the draw date. The winner of this prize consents to have their name, address and contact details passed to Korum for the purpose of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternative will be given.   6. The 6th prize is for a £250 Orvis gift card. This card can be used either online at orvis.co.uk or over the phone on 0333 400 4188.
  7. The 7th prize is for items of Matrix tackle valued at £250 RRP. This prize is only available via the Angling Trust and not through any retailer or direct from Matrix tackle. The winner may select tackle items to the value of their prize from the latest Matrix catalogue. The order for the tackle prize must be placed with the Angling Trust within 6 months of the draw date. Angling Trust will arrange for these items to be sent direct to the winner. The value of the prize may not be used on multiple items. Items that are supplied in trade packs will not be split, although trade packs may be available. The winner of this prize consents to have their name, address and contact details passed to Matrix for the purpose of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternative will be given.   8. The 8th prize is for a £200 Go Outdoors gift card provided by the Insurance Emporium. This card can be used either in store only at any of their branches.
  9. The 9th prize is a 2 x Revolve 12ft 3.00lb rods along with a matching spod rod from Avid Carp £150 RRP. This prize will be supplied direct to the winner within 2 months of the draw date. The winner of this prize consents to have their name, address and contact details passed to Avid Carp for the purpose of fulfilling this prize. No cash alternative will be given.   10. The 10th prize is a Street Fighter Utility Vest from Fox Rage £70 RRP. This prize will be supplied direct to the winner within 2 months of the draw date.   11. The 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th prizes are for £50 gift vouchers provided by Fishing Megastore. The vouchers are for redemption at the Fishing Megastore either online or in store in accordance with their terms and conditions. No cash alternatives will be given.   12. All entries will result in a ticket stub (one ticket stub per entry) being placed in the Angling Trust’s tombola drum. Offline and online tickets will use the same ticket stubs. Online entries will result in pre-printed ticket stubs, with the corresponding entry number, being placed into the tombola.
  13. The winning tickets will be drawn by random selection from the Angling Trust’s tombola drum by a senior Angling Trust employee or director, who is not involved in the running of this raffle and will be witnessed by at least two other members of staff. The prizes will be allocated according to the order of the winning numbers drawn, with the first ticket drawn winning the first prize, the second ticket drawn the second prize and so on for all prizes. Winning tickets will not be placed back into the tombola drum and cannot win more than once.
  14. All winners will be notified by email and may be contacted by telephone. A list of winners will be available on anglingraffle.net and from Angling Trust, Eastwood House, 6 Rainbow Street, Leominster, HR6 8DQ after 17th December 2024.
  15. All profits of the raffle will be used to support the work of the Angling Trust.
  16. Angling Trust employees and directors, Fish Legal employees and committee members and immediate family of the same are not permitted to enter the raffle.

  1. Marketing and Opting-out
    1. Angling Trust will send marketing material including raffle tickets to all Adult, Senior, Life, Life Premier and Young Adult members, Organisation members, lapsed members and registered contacts on our database, with the exception of those parties who have informed us of their decision to opt-out of such marketing material. Angling Trust will also market the raffle through the Angling Trust website, social media channels, press releases, members’ magazine and members’ e-news emails. Angling Trust may also market the raffle through third parties, by way of advertisements and/or third-party mailings to customers and subscribers of those partner organisations.
    2. Any member, lapsed member or registered contact who does not wish to receive marketing material about this raffle or similar raffles in future should contact the Angling Trust by e-mail to admin@anglingtrust.net or in person or in writing to: Angling Trust, 6 Rainbow St., Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 8DQ or by telephone to 0343 5077 006 (option 1). Once a person has opted-out of receiving marketing material (i.e. self-excluded), they will not be able to opt back in for 12 months from the date of them opting-out.

  3. Complaints
    1. The Angling Trust aims to ensure that any issue regarding our raffles is dealt with promptly and in confidence.
    2. If you wish to make a complaint, then please contact our in-house membership team in any of the following ways listed below.

    3. Your complaint will be fully investigated and a response issued within 10 working days.
    4. If you are still not happy with the response the issue will then be referred to the Chairman of the Angling Trust via the address above.
    5. If the matter cannot be resolved internally by the Angling Trust, it would then be referred to IBAS (Independent Betting and Adjudication Service)
  4. Your data, Privacy and GDPR
    1. Angling Trust is committed to protecting your privacy. Data that we collect from you in connection with this raffle is used lawfully in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and is used solely for the purpose of processing your purchase of raffle tickets, subsequent entry into the raffle, informing you if you have won a prize and, only where you consent, for providing you with information from the Angling Trust relating to Angling Trust and Fish Legal membership, events, products, services and fundraising.
    2. You have the right to access the information we hold about you. To obtain this information, please contact us in writing at Eastwood House, 6 Rainbow Street, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 8DQ. You may be asked to provide proof of your identity prior to personal information being disclosed to you.
    3. We respect your privacy and will not sell, rent or grant access to any of the personal data we collect about you to any third parties without your express prior permission.
    4. We may share aggregated information to third parties. This will not contain personal information that can identify any individual person.
    5. In making an online entry of a raffle ticket, you understand that information relating to your entry in the Angling Trust’s Christmas Raffle will be passed on to our I.T. partner for processing purposes only.
    6. By default, you are opted out of receiving any promotional mailings from Angling Trust. During the entry process, you have the option to opt in to receive promotional mailings. Your decision to opt in or not, has no bearing on your entry to the raffle. If you choose to opt in, you will receive information from the Angling Trust relating to Angling Trust and Fish Legal membership, events, products, services and fundraising. The Angling Trust is committed to controlling costs and as such would ask that you agree that wherever practical our preferred method of communication will be email. We respect your privacy and will not sell your personal information to any third party without your consent. If you do opt in to promotional mailings, you can rescind your decision to opt in by contacting our membership team on admin@anglingtrust.netor by calling 0343 5077 006 (Option 1).
    7. We may be obliged to disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, for example to statutory bodies such as the Gambling Commission or other government bodies.
  5. Liability
    1. Angling Trust shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage suffered by you arising from:
      • Any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by Angling Trust, our partners or you from time to time.
      • Any delays or failures in any systems used by Angling Trust, our partners or you to transmit e-mails.
      • Any failure in any software or other systems used by Angling Trust or our partners for the administration of the raffle.
      • Any delays of failures in the banking system used by Angling Trust or you.
      • Any failure to enter your ticket(s) into the raffle.
      • Any event beyond the reasonable control of Angling Trust.
    2. Angling Trust shall not be liable to you in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any indirect or consequential loss suffered by you in relation to your participation in the raffle (including loss of the opportunity to enter the raffle and / or the chance of winning a prize).
  6. Proper Law and Jurisdiction
    1. The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these rules and all entrants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
